Lieberman: Ousted (Or So We Think....)

Yesterday was the Democratic primary in Connecticut. Yes, I am a Democrat (Pete is a Republican -- we won't go there). I voted for Ned Lamont (even have a lawn sign). Joe Lieberman, who's been our senator for 18 years, lost the Democratic nomination to run on the Dem's ticket this coming November. Now, most people would think that he'd give it up, heck, he lost, right? Nope. Joe has been quietly petitioning for the past 5 or so weeks to get the 7,500 needed signatures to switch parties. Yup. He's going to run as an Independent this coming November. I don't like that. Lieberman's not a bad guy, it's just that I don't like the flip flopping. I know Pete's going to vote for him (it's been said that Joe is the Republican's favorite Democrat. It would be only natural for Pete to vote for him seeing as the guy running on the Republican ticket is a putz). Gotta love politics, right?

Do you think he even has a chance if he flips? That's just wrong and shouldn't be allowed.

Yes, I do believe he's got a very good chance. The Republicans seems to like him and they have an idiot running on their ticket (he has another name for himself when he goes to gamble at Foxwoods. The Repubilicans wanted him to withdraw from the race but he's going full steam ahead). It should be interesting around here come November.

So you don't like joe eh? What he do to you? LOL

I think parties are dumb and candidates should just pick a platform of issues and run on that...who cares if they are democrat or republican...that stuff doesn't even matter, though then again I think politics is a waste given the money does all the talking and the walking up the steps of capitol hill...perhaps i have run on a bit much here.

Actually, I do like Lieberman. I wouldn't mind if he got elected again. I just don't like the way he is going about getting elected, that's all. I voted for Lamont because I like what he is standing for but, we can possibly pay the price for his newness down the road. Who knows?

good luck with lamont! I like the lieberman! but alas he will not win in november, especially as an independent, but then again you never know.

I really like Obama...but he's not in my state.
